As you know we have been impacted by an unprecedented weather event. While the western part of Carter County where I live was mostly affected by interruptions of services and loss of utilities, the eastern side of my hometown was not so fortunate, as well as surrounding areas where I have spent the majority of my life building lasting friendships, work connections, and have family relations living in the most catastrophically hit areas (Western NC).
I have been moved beyond words at the love and compassion that my work family has shown to me and to my hometown and surrounding areas. In the fifteen years that I have been with this company, I have gotten to see and be a part of some amazing team efforts during everything from the devastation of the Camp Creek tornado in 2011, the wildfires in neighboring Sevierville, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Just when I think you all can’t outdo yourself….. you do.
I have been moved by the mobilization of our entire team, from executive level to office level, coming together to ensure our patients and team members are safe. Our leadership team has shown incredible care and compassion for the affected towns and our employees throughout this disaster. We have always taken pride, as a company, in our commitment to excellence. It is one of the most impactful experiences of my career to be a part of a company that consistently demonstrates its values.
