Caris Kids, our pediatric hospice care at Caris Healthcare focuses on enhancing quality of life for a child, teen, or young adult and their family. Young adulthood can encompass individuals up to 21 years of age. Our pediatric hospice patients have received a terminal diagnosis and are able to continue pursuing curative treatment while receiving pain and symptom management and other support. Caris is focused on enhancing quality of life, preventing and minimizing suffering, optimizing function, and facilitating opportunities for spiritual and personal growth when we provide this care. Our team-based approach cares for the young person and the family. Our services can include medical and nursing care, chaplaincy and spiritual advisors, social work support, volunteer services, and more.
Kids and young adults have unique physical, emotional, and social needs. Our Caris Kids team will guide these young patients and their families with expertise and care. We focus on comfort and quality of life, prioritizing the three most important things that each person shares with us.
