We are proud to announce that Caris Healthcare’s very own South Carolina Regional Vice President of Operations, Karen Mundy, has been appointed to serve on The Carolinas Center (TCC) board. Karen joined Caris in 2011 as Patient Care Manager in the Somerville, Tennessee office, and in less than two years was named Central Regional Director of Clinical Care. She has now served as our Regional VP of Operations for 5 years.
Excited about the opportunity, Mundy stated, “Hospice is an underutilized and necessary Medicare benefit. I am honored to work alongside The Carolina’s Center to make sure people are aware and have access to equitable hospice care.”
The Carolinas Center has been a steadfast and pioneering advocate for quality end-of-life care in the Carolinas since 1977. They continue to work on behalf of the diverse populations across the two states, so that they may ensure that every hospice and palliative care network and facility receives the education, resources, assistance, and leadership that they deserve. Their axiom is that, “Change happens at the speed of trust.” Living by this mantra promotes the fundamental values of trust, integrity, accountability, and performance excellence; tenets at the core of success and quality service for any end-of-life institution. We hereby extend our most heartfelt congratulations to Karen for accepting this position, as well as to TCC for having the privilege of adding someone so talented and diligent to their team. Through her service and collaboration, patients, and staff alike in these areas will experience an enriched and attentive environment in which to live and work.
At Caris Healthcare, we believe all patients and their family members deserve the best care and treatment throughout their time with us. We have the most-qualified nursing professionals, staff and volunteers who are committed to excellence and reflecting our core values of compassion, accountability, respect, integrity and service – the Caris promise to you.
