Does Caris Healthcare provide multilingual hospice care?

Yes, Caris provides a language line through employees with diverse linguistic backgrounds to ensure every patient and family has a voice and someone to listen. We also offer multiple language translations of our website, marketing materials, and clinical forms/paperwork.

How does Caris Healthcare provide culturally competent across all demographics?

Our team members receive training on diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as culturally competent care to meet the unique needs of our patients. Each patient receives an individualized plan, allowing us to provide personalized care. We focus on a Three Most Important Things program, which allows us to get to know our patients and their priorities so we can treat them holistically. A full team of health care professionals are on call to serve each hospice patient’s needs. All services are under the direction of a physician.

Does Caris accommodate different religious/spiritual needs?

Caris Healthcare provides support for people of all faiths. Our chaplains do not provide unsolicited advice toward one particular faith or religion and can provide pastoral care as needed. We are happy to accommodate any specific religious or spiritual requests and needs.

How does Caris serve historically disadvantaged or underserved communities?

Caris Healthcare is a member and active supporter/donor of National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) diversity council. Additionally, our recruiting is done locally and, therefore, the offices reflect the communities in which they serve. We believe in strengthening community relationships to improve care.
